Combustible gas detection sensor in lithium battery workshop

release time:2022-11-18 Hits:     Popular:AG11 battery

  D USB 1.5V 6000mWh

At present, the main core applications of new energy electric vehicles depend on batteries for power supply, but many hazardous chemicals will be used as raw materials in the battery production process, such as dimethyl carbonate, methyl ethyl carbonate, propylene carbonate, lithium hexafluorocarbonate, and organic solvents, which have caused serious safety hazards to the health and safety of production workers!

In addition, if the workshop and environment of the battery manufacturer are not well ventilated, it is easy to form flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful gases, so it is easy to cause poisoning accidents and the risk of combustion and explosion.

Combustible gas detection sensor in battery workshop:

When the electrolyte of lithium battery encounters a large amount of water, it may explode due to rapid decomposition and heat release. In the production workshop of lithium battery plant and other working environments, there is a risk of flammable or toxic gas leakage, such as ammonia, CL2, HF, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrochloric acid, Freon, phosphoric acid, etc. The concentration of these gases exceeds the standard, which may lead to fire, poisoning and other hidden dangers.

In the process of environmental test, when the battery is damaged, CO, H2 and H2S may leak easily. Therefore, it is recommended to install hydrogen sensors and carbon monoxide sensors in the lithium battery production workshop to intelligently detect the leaked low concentration hydrogen gas and CO gas. Once the set standard critical value is reached, an alarm will be triggered to ensure the rapid and safe evacuation of workers.

Here, the combustible gas sensor TGS6812 is recommended. The TGS6812-D00 is a catalytic combustion type combustible gas sensor that can detect 100% LEL level hydrogen. This sensor has the characteristics of high accuracy, good durability and stability, fast response, and linear output. It can not only monitor hydrogen gas, but also detect methane and LP gas. This is an excellent scheme for leak detection of fixed fuel cells when hydrogen is used as combustible gas. TGS6812 - D00 has adsorbent in its cap, and its cross sensitivity to organic vapor is very low. In addition, the sensor has better resistance to silicon compounds and is more adaptable to harsh environments.
