However, their energy density may not be as high as some advanced liquid electrolyte lithium-ion batteries, especially in the case of solid polymer electrolyte batteries. The manufacturing process of lithium polymer batteries is more complex and often more expensive, which can affect their widespread adoption in some cost-sensitive applications.
