1. Energy density
Battery energy density is an index that affects the endurance performance of new energy vehicles. The energy density of lithium iron phosphate battery cell is only about 110Wh/kg, while that of ternary lithium battery cell is generally 200Wh/kg. That is to say, with the same weight of batteries, the energy density of the ternary lithium battery is 1.7 times that of the lithium iron phosphate battery, and the ternary lithium battery can bring longer endurance for new energy vehicles.
2. Security
Lithium iron phosphate battery is the power battery with the best thermal stability at present, and has absolute advantages over ternary lithium battery in terms of safety. The electrothermal peak of lithium iron phosphate battery is up to 350 ℃, and the chemical composition inside the battery needs to reach 500~600 ℃ before it starts to decompose; The thermal stability of the ternary lithium battery is very general, and it will start to decompose at about 300 ℃.
3. Charging efficiency
Ternary lithium battery has higher efficiency. 4. Cycle life
The cycle life of the lithium iron phosphate battery is better than that of the ternary lithium battery. The theoretical life of the ternary lithium battery is 2000 times, but the capacity is reduced to 60% basically by 1000 cycles. Even the best Tesla in the industry can only maintain 70% of the power after 3000 times, while the lithium iron phosphate battery can still have 80% of the capacity after the same cycle.
