The three-year Action Plan for Winning the Battle of  the Blue Sky proposes that by 2020, the production and sales of new energy  vehicles in China will reach 2 million, which also means that the annual growth  rate of production and sales of new energy vehicles in China will exceed 30% in  the next two years. It is conservatively estimated that each vehicle needs 50KWh  of batteries and 0.01-0.02 square meters of battery separators per Wh of  batteries. In 2018, China's new energy vehicles alone will need 5-10 billion  square meters of lithium battery separators, while by 2020, it will need 1-2  billion square meters of lithium battery separators. The growth potential of  lithium battery separators is amazing.

　　However, because the production process of the diaphragm has a high  technical barrier, its cost accounts for 10% - 20% of the cost of lithium ion  batteries, and its gross profit rate can reach 50% - 60%. It is the product with  the highest gross profit rate among the four major materials. Therefore, the  lithium battery diaphragm is also considered by the lithium battery  manufacturers as one of the industries with the most investment value in the  lithium ion battery industry chain.
