　　When ordinary lithium-ion batteries experience overcharging, short circuits, and other conditions, there may be phenomena such as temperature rise, decomposition of positive electrode materials, oxidation of negative electrode and electrolyte materials inside the battery, which can lead to gas expansion and increased internal pressure in the battery. When the pressure reaches a certain level, an explosion may occur. And polymer lithium-ion batteries, due to the use of colloidal electrolytes, do not produce a large amount of gas due to liquid boiling, thus eliminating the possibility of violent explosions.

　　Most polymer batteries in China are only soft pack batteries, using aluminum plastic film as the outer shell, but the electrolyte has not changed. This type of battery can also be thinned, with better low-temperature discharge characteristics than polymer batteries, and the material energy density is basically the same as liquid lithium batteries and ordinary polymer batteries. However, due to the use of aluminum plastic film, it is lighter than ordinary liquid lithium batteries.
