  Converting one DC voltage into another DC voltage is called DC/DC conversion. One type is called DC chopper. This technology is widely used in the continuously variable speed of trolleybuses, subway trains, and battery-powered motor vehicles to obtain smooth acceleration, deceleration, and quick response performance.   AC/AC conversion technology

  In situations where an AC power source with a frequency different from the mains power or with a variable frequency is required, an AC/AC converter is usually used, which can be achieved with two solutions:

  1. AC/DC/AC conversion: This solution must undergo two power conversions, AC/DC and DC/AC, so the efficiency is low.

  2. AC/AC conversion: This solution can directly convert power frequency AC power into AC power with variable frequency without the need for an intermediate DC link, so it is called direct frequency conversion. Since the UPS power supply voltage is alternating, most of this conversion uses grid commutation, and a few also use forced commutation. With the development of self-shutoff devices, AC/AC conversion technology has received attention.

  The main application areas of AC/AC conversion technology are as follows:

  ①High power (above several thousand kilowatts) AC drive.

  ②Constant frequency power supply used by ships or aircraft.

  ③Static reactive power compensation.

  Types of DC regulated power supplies

  The voltage after ACIDC conversion (rectification) and filtering often changes with the fluctuation of the AC power supply voltage and the change of the load. Changes in DC voltage sometimes cause instability in the operation of control devices, resulting in errors in measurement and calculation. Precision electronic instruments, automatic controls, calculation devices and thyristor trigger circuits all require stable DC power supply.

  The development of DC regulated power supply has a history of several decades and has been integrated. Integrated circuits have the advantages of small size, low power consumption, and long life. Especially in the past ten years, with the development of power integration technology, integrated voltage stabilizing circuits have come out in many varieties and models. Nowadays, a series of products are formed according to output voltage and output current, and have become the mainstream products of DC voltage stabilizing circuits. , especially suitable for use in small electronic devices.

  There are many types of DC voltage regulator products currently produced, which can be classified from different perspectives:

  1. According to the stabilization method: there are parametric voltage regulators and feedback adjustment voltage regulators. The parametric voltage regulator circuit is simple and mainly utilizes the nonlinearity of electronic devices to achieve voltage stabilization. For example, one resistor and one voltage regulator tube can constitute a parametric voltage regulator. The feedback adjustment voltage regulator has negative feedback and is a closed-loop adjustment system. It uses changes in the output voltage to obtain the control voltage through sampling, comparison, and amplification to control the adjustment components, thereby achieving the purpose of stabilizing the output voltage.

  2. According to the adjustment device and load connection mode: there are parallel voltage regulators and series voltage regulators. The regulating device connected in parallel with the load is called a well-connected voltage regulator, and the regulating device connected in series with the load is called a series voltage regulator.

  3. According to the functional components: there are electronic tube voltage regulators, Zener tube voltage regulators, transistor voltage regulators, thyristor voltage regulators, etc.

  4. According to the working status of the adjusting device: there are linear voltage regulators and switching voltage regulators. The device that adjusts the device to work in a linear amplification state is called a linear regulator, and the device that adjusts the device to work in a switching state is called a switching regulator.

  5. According to whether the main part of the power supply is an integrated circuit or a discrete device: there are integrated linear regulators, integrated switching regulators and regulators composed of discrete devices.

  The demand for UPS power supply in the computer room

  1. High reliability requirements for power supply

  The customers that IDC faces are generally enterprise-level customers, and some are even portal websites. If the load is interrupted, the IDC business provider will face huge losses, so the reliability of UPS power supply is very high.

  2. Large load capacity

  The investment in the construction of the IDC computer room is huge, and business growth in the next few years will be taken into consideration, so it must be able to handle a large enough business volume. Generally, there are about 50-100 racks placed in a computer room, and the load capacity of each rack is about several kilowatts.   3. Relatively centralized power supply method
