　　Nickel cadmium battery (NiCd, pronounced as "nye cad") is a popular type of battery. This type of battery generates electricity using chemical products such as nickel hydroxide (NiOH) and cadmium metal (Cd). Although its performance is better than lead-acid batteries, it contains heavy metals that can cause environmental pollution after use.

　　Nickel cadmium batteries can be recharged and discharged more than 500 times, making them economical and durable. It is an ideal DC powered battery with low internal resistance, low internal resistance, fast charging, high load, and minimal voltage changes during discharge. Compared to other types of batteries, nickel cadmium batteries can withstand overcharging or overdischarging. The discharge voltage of nickel cadmium batteries varies depending on their discharge equipment. Each cell is approximately 1.2V, and the battery capacity is measured in Ah (ampere hour) and mAh (milliampere hour). The limit value of the discharge termination voltage is called the "discharge termination voltage", and the discharge termination voltage of nickel cadmium batteries is 1.0/cell (cell is the battery of each module). Low self discharge rate, long storage time of nickel cadmium batteries, and their characteristics will not deteriorate. After charging, it can fully restore its original characteristics and can be used within a temperature range of -20 ℃ to 60 ℃. Due to the use of metal containers for modular batteries, they are durable and long-lasting; If a completely sealed method is chosen, there will be no electrolyte leakage, so there is no need to replenish the electrolyte.
