Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, a popular lithium-ion chemistry, stand out for their unique combination of safety, durability, and performance, making them suitable for diverse applications. One of their most celebrated features is enhanced safety. However, LiFePO4 batteries have a slightly lower energy density than some lithium-ion variants (e.g., NCM batteries), which means they are slightly heavier for the same energy storage.
