  The traditional AGV power battery pack is mainly composed of lead-acid batteries, which have stable functions and low prices, and have long been dominant in shopping malls. However, due to factors such as low charging power, low energy density, low low-temperature charging and discharging ability, and short cycle life of lead-acid batteries, more and more AGV power battery pack manufacturers and customers tend to use high-power lithium batteries as the power source for AGV power battery packs. So, let's take a look at the application of power lithium batteries in AGV power battery packs!

  With the development of electric vehicles, the development of lithium-ion power battery skills in China is faster than expected, and the power battery pack for AGV has also played an important role in selecting lithium-ion power batteries. At present, the power lithium batteries selected for AGV's power battery pack are mainly lithium iron phosphate and lithium ternary. How should these two types of lithium batteries be chosen?

  The primary characteristic difference between lithium phosphate batteries and ternary lithium batteries lies in energy density and safety. Energy density is related to the endurance of AGV power battery packs, while safety is related to accidents caused by battery reasons during the operation of AGV power battery packs. Of course, temperature adaptability and charging and discharging power are also important parameters, and these two factors will be analyzed later.

  According to convention, the energy density of ternary lithium is much higher than that of lithium iron phosphate

  The energy density of lithium iron phosphate batteries is usually between 90-120Wh/kg, while the energy density of ternary lithium batteries can reach around 200Wh/kg, indicating a significant advantage in energy density. Surprisingly, two types of batteries of the same weight contain much more electricity than lithium iron phosphate. Therefore, even for the same 24V 160AH battery, the component of ternary lithium batteries is far lower than that of lithium iron phosphate. This is also the reason for the multiple production lines of ternary lithium batteries at home and abroad, and the strong power of Japanese and Korean enterprises has injected confidence into the ternary lithium shopping mall.

  2. According to convention, the safety of lithium iron phosphate is much higher than that of ternary lithium batteries

  In terms of data systems, we know that the differentiation temperature of the positive electrode data of ternary lithium batteries is around 200, and the differentiation temperature of the positive electrode data of lithium iron phosphate batteries is around 700. In laboratory testing environments, single short circuits in lithium iron phosphate batteries rarely cause ignition, while ternary lithium batteries do not. When using ternary lithium batteries, high requirements are placed on heat treatment. Therefore, when battery related personnel assemble battery packs using ternary lithium-ion battery cells, the demand for BMS will be more precise, scientific, and carefully planned and verified.
