These standards mandate tests for mechanical integrity (crush, impact, puncture) and thermal management, ensuring batteries resist damage in collisions. Compliance with these standards involves rigorous testing: cells are exposed to extreme temperatures, overcharging, and physical stress to verify they remain stable.
