Introduction to lithium iron phosphate batteries

  In 1990, lithium-ion batteries with LiCoO2 as the cathode material were launched in the laboratory and began industrial production in 1991. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries have significant advantages in operating voltage, energy density, cycle life, and other aspects. Therefore, lithium batteries have been widely used in portable electronic products, electric opening tools, and other fields in the past 20 years. In recent years, with global attention to energy conservation and consumption reduction, lithium batteries have gradually been applied in industries such as communication, national power grid, and electric vehicles. For energy conservation and consumption reduction in the communication power supply industry, smaller battery size, lighter weight, and longer maintenance life are required.

  Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, communication lithium iron phosphate batteries have the following advantages:

  〔1〕 High energy density: The nominal voltage is 3.2V, and the energy density is about 4 times that of lead-acid batteries. It is small in size and lightweight;

  〔2〕 Strong safety: Lithium iron phosphate cathode material has good electrochemical performance, a very stable charging and discharging platform, a stable structure during the charging and discharging process, the battery does not burn or explode, and good safety;

  〔3〕 Good high-temperature performance: The battery operates normally at an external temperature of 55 ℃;

  〔4〕 High power output: standard discharge of 0.2C, capable of 3C charging and discharging;

  〔5〕 Long term cycle life: Charge and discharge at room temperature of 1C, and the capacity still exceeds 80% after 2000 cycles;

  〔6〕 Environmental protection: The entire production process is clean and non-toxic, and all raw materials are non-toxic.

  Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, the application of communication lithium iron phosphate batteries can better express the need for energy conservation, material conservation, and land conservation and emission reduction.
