One of the primary advantages of lithium-ion batteries in vehicles is their high energy-to-weight ratio, which allows for longer driving ranges without adding excessive weight to the vehicle. This is crucial for maintaining the vehicle's efficiency and performance. Additionally, these batteries can handle high discharge rates, making them suitable for the power demands of acceleration and other driving conditions.

These systems help prevent overcharging, deep discharging, and exposure to extreme temperatures, all of which can accelerate degradation.
