Wang Jingzhong told reporters that the battery industry is mainly divided into four major parts: the first is primary batteries, including paste batteries, cardboard batteries, alkaline 402030 battery and other varieties; the second is rechargeable batteries, such as lithium-ion batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries, nickel Cadmium batteries; the third is lead-acid batteries, including car starting batteries, electric bicycle batteries, industrial batteries, and energy storage batteries; the fourth is solar cells and fuel cells.
At present, the total output value of the entire domestic battery industry is approximately 500 billion. Wang Jingzhong said that among them, the primary battery market has become saturated and can fully meet people's daily needs. Other batteries, due to their own defects, cannot meet the needs of growing development and are also in the stage of continuous upgrading.
For nickel-cadmium batteries, because the heavy metal cadmium they contain is harmful to the human body and the environment, they are currently being gradually replaced. In comparison, nickel-metal hydride 402030 battery do not contain heavy metals and have twice the capacity, making them the best alternative to nickel-cadmium batteries.
Because lithium-ion 402030 battery are more environmentally friendly and have several times higher capacity than nickel-metal hydride batteries, they are more suitable as power 402030 battery and will become the future development direction of the battery industry.
Wang Jingzhong said that lithium-ion 402030 battery can be divided into lithium cobalt oxide batteries, lithium manganate batteries, nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary material 402030 battery and lithium iron phosphate 402030 battery according to different cathode materials.
However, although these 402030 battery can be used as power batteries, if they are used in automobile power batteries, which are key developments of the country, they all have their own shortcomings and are difficult to meet the needs of electric vehicles. For example, lithium iron phosphate 402030 battery have the two major advantages of long cycle life and high safety, but they have the fatal flaw of small capacity.
Now, all countries are constantly improving battery materials, and our country is also using nanotechnology to improve the performance of lithium iron phosphate batteries, but it still cannot meet the needs of electric vehicles. In Wang Jingzhong’s view, power 402030 battery can be considered mature only if they meet the two basic requirements of safety and endurance, but it will take at least three to five years in our country.
