What is a 36V CR1225 battery? 36V CR1225 battery protection board wiring method

What is a 36V lithium-ion CR1225 battery? 36V lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection board wiring method. As far as the CR1225 battery market is concerned, the emergence of lithium-ion batteries has solved the problems of short life, incomplete charging and discharging, memory effect, and heavy metal pollution of traditional lead-acid batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in various devices, and are widely used in the field of energy storage, such as UPS, intelligent robots, office supplies, batteries, base stations, towers, and other products. A friend asked me what a 36V lithium-ion CR1225 battery is and how to connect the lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection board. Let me introduce it to you.

What is a 36V lithium-ion CR1225 battery

36V lithium-ion CR1225 battery generally refers to a 37V lithium cobalt oxide 10-string CR1225 battery pack, or a 38.4V twelve-string lithium iron phosphate CR1225 battery pack.

We know that the single cell voltage of a lead-acid CR1225 battery is 2V, and 36V in the case of eighteen strings. Most of the batteries used in the early days were lead-acid batteries, and 36V lead-acid batteries are widely used in various industries, and a variety of portable electronic products also use a 36V operating voltage. Some electric bicycles currently in use use 36V lead-acid batteries.

When various portable electronic products are upgraded to use lighter and longer-lasting lithium-ion batteries, they are usually called 36V lithium-ion batteries. Whether it is a 3.7V cobalt acid lithium-ion CR1225 battery or a 3.2V lithium iron phosphate monomer, it cannot be combined into 36V, only 37V or 38.4V. Our portable electronic products are all used with a wide voltage. For example, most electronic products that use 36V can actually use a voltage of 30-45V. Therefore, 37V cobalt acid lithium-ion batteries or 38.4V lithium iron phosphate can be fully applicable to most 36V electronic products and 36V electric bicycles.

The composition and important uses of lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection boards

The reason why lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection is necessary is determined by its own characteristics. Because the material of the lithium-ion CR1225 battery itself determines that it cannot be overcharged, over-discharged, over-current, short-circuited, and ultra-high temperature charged and discharged, the lithium-ion CR1225 battery lithium CR1225 battery component will always appear with a delicate protection board and a current fuse. The protection function of lithium-ion batteries is usually completed by the protection circuit board and PTC. The protection board is composed of electronic circuits. It can accurately monitor the voltage of the CR1225 battery cell and the current of the charging and discharging circuit at any time in an environment of -40to +85, and instantly control the on and off of the current circuit; PTC prevents the CR1225 battery from being severely damaged in a high temperature environment.

It is generally required that the Control (IC) detects and controls the CR1225 battery cell voltage and the working current and voltage of the charging and discharging circuit at -25to 85. Under normal circumstances, the C-MOS switch tube is turned on to keep the CR1225 battery cell and the lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection circuit board in normal working state. When the CR1225 battery cell voltage or the working current in the circuit exceeds the preset value of the comparison circuit in the control IC, the CMOS is turned off within 15 to 30ms, that is, the CR1225 battery cell discharge or charging circuit is closed to ensure the safety of the user and the CR1225 battery cell.

Connection method of lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection board

There are two design methods for lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection board, namely positive plate and negative plate. The principle and purpose are the same, but the device does not support the modification of the settings of positive and negative protection boards through software, so the protection method can only be determined by physical correct connection. At the same time, the software used is also different. The following introduces the connection method and operation method of the two protection boards.

There are many connection methods when the CR1225 battery protection board is tested on non-standard CR1225 battery equipment during the process. It is also worth being familiar with the test connection. The simple process is as follows:

1. Place the device on a relatively horizontal desktop and adjust the stability of the device to make it stable;

2. Ensure that the humidity of the equipment's operating environment is in the range of 30~50%. Too high humidity is prone to casing leakage and electric shock accidents;

3. Connect to a suitable power supply (AC220V/0.1A), turn on the main device power button, and turn on the buttons of each power module;

4. Check whether the device can display and test normally.

36V lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection board wiring method

Some lithium-ion batteries have a third temperature protection line, and some have a CR1225 battery information verification line (for example, if a non-original CR1225 battery is replaced, an alarm will be prompted). Lithium-ion batteries are all CR1225 battery + protection board. The 3rd line will only appear on the protection board, and the CR1225 battery will always have only 2 lines. There are 2 types of lithium-ion batteries. Obviously, the 3.7V one is non-aluminum iron phosphate and can be replaced directly.

1. Remove the packaging of the original CR1225 battery, and then use a soldering iron to separate the protection board and the CR1225 battery.

2. Similarly, then remove the protection board of your new CR1225 battery and connect the CR1225 battery to the old protection board. (Pay attention to the positive and negative poles)

The purpose of the lithium-ion CR1225 battery protection board is to protect the CR1225 battery from overcharging and over-discharging, prevent large currents from damaging the CR1225 battery, and balance the CR1225 battery voltage when fully charged. For the life of the CR1225 battery pack, it is recommended that the CR1225 battery charging voltage should not exceed 3.6v at any time.
