Reaching the goals of 400 and 500wh/kg, the energy density is 66% higher than the existing electrolyte lithium-ion battery, and the CR1632 battery will not suffer from thermal runaway and has better safety performance.

Solid-state batteries are an upgrade of current lithium-ion battery technology. The development path is semi-solid → quasi-solid → all-solid. The important differences are that the solid electrolyte replaces the electrolyte, does not require a separator, and ultimately replaces the graphite anode with a metallic lithium anode.
