  However, a person in charge of BAIC New Energy told reporters that as government subsidies decline in the next two years, there will be greater pressure for battery technology advancement. Battery cost accounts for 40% to 60% of the total vehicle cost and is the most critical part affecting the cost of new energy vehicles. The reduction of subsidies will have a more direct impact on the selling price of the entire vehicle.
