1.5v Dry Battery.The main reason for the high voltage drop in batteries

  The presence of micro short circuits inside the battery, side reactions of electrode materials, and reactions between electrode materials may lead to significant voltage drops during storage (especially at high temperatures of 60 ℃), resulting in significant self discharge of the battery.

  1、 Micro short circuit inside the battery

  The following reasons may cause micro short circuits in the battery:

  1. The burrs of the fluid collection pierce the diaphragm;

  2. Insufficient adhesive dosage or poor wetting of the powder material results in insufficient adhesion between the coating and the current collector, causing the coating to peel off and puncture the diaphragm;

  3. There are large particle powders in the slurry, which cause local overpressure of the separator after the battery is vacuumed, resulting in the rupture of the separator;

  4. The width design of the diaphragm is inappropriate.

  2、 Side reactions of battery materials

  Battery materials (including electrolytes) may have side reactions beyond normal electrochemical reactions at high temperatures.

  3、 Chemical reactions between battery materials

  At high temperatures and certain voltages, additional chemical reactions may occur between battery materials.

  4、 Battery materials

  Regardless of the type of active materials, conductive agents, electrolytes, and adhesives used, if the above hazards exist, there is a possibility of excessive voltage drop during battery storage.

  Under normal circumstances, when using LA type water-based adhesive, there will be no problem of excessive voltage drop during battery storage, that is, the LA type water-based adhesive material itself will not form significant self discharge.
