When the lithium crystals reach a certain scale, they are likely to directly pierce the separation membrane, causing The result is thermal runaway, that is, the battery catches fire or even explodes. In a high-density structure such as a car battery pack, as long as the lithium-ion battery of one module is thermally out of control, other lithium-ion battery modules that cannot withstand the heat will immediately catch fire and explode. What will be the final result? It’s the electric car that spontaneously ignites.
