  Application of New Energy Vehicle Industry

In the field of passenger cars, lithium iron phosphate batteries accounted for approximately 76%, 81%, and 78% of the recommended vehicle models for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in the 5th, 6th, and 7th batches of 2018 (hereinafter referred to as the "Catalogue"), still maintaining the mainstream. In the field of specialized vehicles, lithium iron phosphate batteries accounted for about 30%, 32%, and 40% of the 5th, 6th, and 7th batches of the "Catalogue" in 2018, respectively, and their application proportion gradually increased.

  Yang Yusheng, an academician of the CAE Member, believes that the use of lithium iron phosphate battery in the incremental electric vehicle market can not only improve the safety of vehicles, but also support the marketization of incremental electric vehicles, and eliminate the anxiety of pure electric vehicles in terms of mileage, safety, price, charging, and subsequent battery problems. During the period from 2007 to 2013, many car companies launched projects to increase the number of pure electric vehicles.
