　　When the battery does not work, the phenomenon of the gradually consumption of the power is called discharge. It cannot be completely avoided by self -discharge. It is generally believed that consumption of 1%to 2%of its own capacity every day is normal. If this value exceeds this value, discharge itself abnormally.

　　1. Diring by yourselfreason

　　(1) There are impurities in the pole material or electrolyte, so that the potential difference between the impurities and the fetters or different impurities will generate a closed "local battery" to generate current to generate the battery discharge.

　　(2) The barrier is ruptured, causing local short circuits.

　　(3) There are electrolytes or water on the cover of the battery to form a pathway between the positive and negative electrodes and discharge.

　　(4) The active substance is falling off, causing the short circuit of the pole plate to discharge.

　　(5) Long -term storage of batteries, sulfuric acid sank in the electrolyte, small density of the upper part and large lower density, causing self -discharge.

　　2. Processing method

　　To reduce self -discharge, the electrolyte must be purified, and the battery cover should be kept clean in use to avoid short circuit. If the electrolyte is not pure, the battery needs to be discharged with the current 1/10 of the nominal capacity to the single -grid voltage 1.7V, then pour out the electrolyte, clean it with distilled water, and then use the pure electrolyte to charging
