　　The power battery is one of the most core components of new energy vehicles. Their storage capacity is also about 30% higher than nickel cadmium batteries. However, the cost of nickel hydrogen batteries is much more expensive than nickel cadmium batteries.

　　Compared to lithium-ion batteries, the only advantage of nickel hydrogen batteries is that they are relatively inexpensive, but their performance is far lower than that of lithium-ion batteries.

　　As mentioned earlier, power batteries have a significant impact on the range, cost, service life, safety performance, and other aspects of new energy vehicles. Especially, as the main manifestation of the technological level of new energy vehicles, the range is fundamentally determined by power batteries.

　　The complex driving environment of new energy vehicles and the high requirements for power output determine that power batteries require a higher voltage platform. The voltage of nickel hydrogen batteries is only 1.2V, while the voltage of lithium-ion batteries can reach 3.7-4.2V. The voltage platform of lithium-ion batteries is higher.

　　At present, the number of charging cycles for lithium-ion batteries within their life cycle can reach over 1000 (ternary lithium batteries), and lithium iron phosphate batteries can also reach over 2000 times. The charging cycle of nickel hydrogen batteries is only about 500 times, and their service life is much lower than that of lithium-ion batteries.
