When the voltage difference between each battery is too large, equal charging must be carried out. However, in actual use, due to various conditions, few people perform UPS battery maintenance exactly as described above. First, the acceptance of new batteries takes a long time and there are no convenient tools to use. Quite a few people do not have it at all. To do this work, the battery is put into use. According to statistics, more than 95% of UPS batteries in mainland China lack necessary maintenance, which lays hidden dangers for future UPS power supply failures. 1. Power on and off sequence
In order to prevent the UPS from being damaged by the inrush current generated by the load at the moment of startup, the UPS should be powered on in bypass mode first, and then turn on the loads one by one, thus avoiding the impact of the load current on the UPS. The service life of the UPS is extended. The shutdown sequence can be seen as the reverse process of the startup sequence. First, turn off the loads one by one, and then turn off the UPS.

4. Usage environment
Similar to the working environment of a computer, UPS does not have very high requirements for ambient temperature. It can usually work normally between 0℃ and 40℃. However, dust-proof problems also plague UPS. The usage environment of UPS requires cleanness, less dust, and dryness. Dust and humid environments will cause UPS to work abnormally. The UPS battery pack has higher temperature requirements. The standard operating temperature is 25°C. It is best not to exceed the range of 15°C to 30°C.
5. Battery maintenance
The UPS battery pack will self-discharge. If it is left unused for a long time, it will cause damage to the battery pack, so it needs to be charged and discharged regularly. If you are using a maintenance-free absorption electrolyte system battery, it will not produce any gas during normal use. However, if the user uses it improperly and causes the battery pack to be overcharged, gas will be generated and the internal pressure of the battery pack will increase. In severe cases, the battery may bulge, deform, leak or even rupture. If users find this phenomenon, they should replace the battery pack immediately.
6. Pay attention to safety
Since the voltage of the UPS battery pack is very high, there is a certain risk of electric shock to the human body. Therefore, safety guarantees should be ensured when loading and unloading conductive connecting strips and output lines. The tools used should be insulated, especially the output contacts should be equipped with settings to prevent electric shock.
7. Charging voltage
During the charging process of the UPS, if the charging voltage is too high, it will cause the battery pack to be overcharged, and vice versa, it will cause the battery pack to be undercharged. When the charging voltage is abnormal, battery configuration data may be incorrect. Therefore, when installing the battery pack, you must pay attention to the correctness of battery specifications and quantity. Batteries of different specifications and brands should be avoided as much as possible. It is also best not to use low-priced and low-quality external chargers.
8. Charging current
Similar to the voltage requirements of UPS, excessive current should be avoided when charging and discharging the UPS battery pack. Although sometimes the UPS battery pack can accept a certain degree of high current, it should be avoided in actual operation. Otherwise, the battery plates will be deformed, resulting in an increase in the internal resistance of the battery.
