　　Li/SOCl2 carbon encapsulated batteries have been made into cylindrical shapes in accordance with ANSI standards. These batteries are designed for low to medium discharge rates and should not exceed C/100 discharge rates. They have high specific energy, such as the BLE D-type battery, which has released a capacity of 19.0 Ah at a voltage of 3.5 V, compared to traditional alkaline zinc/manganese dioxide batteries, which can only release a capacity of 15 Ah at a voltage of 1.5 V.

　　(1) The negative electrode of the structure is made of lithium sheet and leans against the inner wall of the stainless steel shell. The diaphragm is made of non-woven glass fiber cloth. The positive electrode is composed of carbon black bonded with polytetrafluoroethylene, which is cylindrical in shape, has extremely high porosity, and occupies most of the volume of the battery. The battery is gas tight Rice noodles, and the positive pole adopts glass metal sealing insulator. These low self discharge rate batteries can be equipped with a safety valve, but they can also have no safety valve, which is determined by the manufacturer based on the battery structure.

　　(2) The open circuit voltage of the performance Li/SOCl2 battery is 3.65V; The typical working voltage range is between 3.3 and 3.6V (up to the termination voltage of 3V). The figure shows the typical discharge curve of the BLE D-type Li/SOCl2 battery. Able Li/SOCl2 exhibits flat discharge curves and excellent performance over a wide temperature range, ranging from low to medium discharge rates, and can work well at extremely high temperatures.
