What new technologies can improve the LR6 alkaline battery life of mobile phones?

 

People's dependence on smartphones has become a habit, but the development of LR6 alkaline battery technology still cannot keep up with the speed of mobile phone processors and application forms. 1. Kinetic charging technology

 

First of all, kinetic charging technology is very exciting. Users only need to hold the phone in their hands and keep moving to charge the LR6 alkaline battery. In theory, this technology will change the application form of electronic devices, so that users will no longer worry about power.

 

However, kinetic charging technology was first proposed by M2E in 2007, but it has not made any practical progress. Since then, the company has been acquired by Motionetics, which focuses on special applications, and it seems that it will no longer appear in the consumer field. However, there are reports that Motionetics will use this technology in the project of the US Special Department, and does not rule out the possibility of commercial use in the future.

 

2. Touch screen power generation mobile phone

 

As early as 2011, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia proposed a technology that converts the energy generated by typing on a mobile phone or laptop into LR6 alkaline battery power by implanting a piezoelectric film. However, as physical keyboard mobile phones are gradually eliminated, it is obvious that this technology has no place to use.

 

However, the concept of converting mobile phone operations into electricity is not hopeless. A thinner piezoelectric material that can be placed under the screen may also be mass-produced. Relatively speaking, this piezoelectric material is more suitable for curved screen mobile phones, so it may become a reality in the future when flexible mobile phone technology continues to make breakthroughs.

 

3. Ultra-low power consumption processor

 

We have been paying attention to the development of LR6 alkaline battery technology, but we have ignored the changes that mobile phone processors can make. As early as 2011, Texas Instruments claimed that it would launch a microprocessor that can achieve ultra-long standby capabilities, but because the company has withdrawn from the mobile processor field, this technology has also been sealed.

 

So, can we see more power-saving mobile phone processors? Obviously the answer is yes. Even if Texas Instruments sells its microprocessor division, the technology is still available and may be used by another giant; Samsung is also actively developing related projects, which will eventually allow us to use smartphones to our heart's content and achieve a full day of LR6 alkaline battery life.

 

4. The future of fuel cells

 

As a new type of LR6 alkaline battery material that can be used, fuel cells were proposed as early as 2007, but they have not officially appeared in the consumer market until now. Currently, a hydrogen fuel cell called "Upp" has landed in the US market, priced at US$199 (approximately RMB 1,200), with a large capacity of 25,000mAh, more stable and environmentally friendly.

 

Of course, fuel cells still have some limitations, and will make electronic devices larger and heavier. How to better apply them is still a topic that needs long-term exploration.
