Lithium battery separator production line technology—dry and wet stretching. Lithium battery separators are a high-end manufacturing industry. The technology of the lithium battery separator industry is becoming increasingly mature. There are now three production lines: dry uniaxial stretching, dry biaxial stretching, and wet biaxial stretching. ●Dry one-way stretching production line

●Wet biaxial stretching production line
Using PE as the main raw material, mixed with various brands of auxiliary materials, fully stirred, extruded by the tape casting method, biaxially stretched, formed into holes through the extraction process, and then rolled and cut after transverse stretching to produce wet-process products. Biaxially stretched lithium battery separator. It is equipped with high-precision testing instruments and adopts a production process jointly developed in cooperation with famous scientific research institutions in China. It mainly produces lithium-ion battery separators of different specifications with thicknesses from 8 μm to 25 μm.
Wet process lithium battery separator biaxial stretching production line lithium battery separator materials can be divided into: woven film, non-woven film (non-woven fabric), microporous film, composite film, separator paper, rolled film, etc. Polyolefin materials have excellent mechanical properties, chemical stability and relatively cheap characteristics. Therefore, polyolefin microporous membranes such as polyethylene and polypropylene were used as lithium battery separators in the early stages of lithium battery research and development.
The wet synchronous biaxial stretching makes the diaphragm stretch in both longitudinal and transverse directions at the same time. The micropores are close to circular, and the resistance is minimal during the battery cycle. It has good lyophilicity and uniformity, and the lithium battery produced with it has better performance and stability. We believe that this will be the development direction of high-end lithium battery separators in the future.
Compared with dry separators, lithium battery wet separators have advantages
(1) The wet method has consistent and uniform voids, and the porosity is controlled by bidirectional stretching. The dry method can only stretch in one direction, and some electrons cannot pass through, which affects the battery cycle performance.
(2) Wet biaxial stretching improves the strength of the separator, and the puncture strength is stronger than the dry method.
(3) The thickness of the wet separator can be made thinner and thinner to adapt to future trends. The wet method is easier to make the battery core, and the rolling needle is easy to pull out.
