  On March 11, the Beijing Science and Technology Commission's major science and technology project "Development of 300Wh/kg ternary system high specific energy lithium-ion battery for electric vehicles" led by Mengguli Power Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Rongsheng Holdings, passed the acceptance of the expert group. The project results will significantly improve the cruising range of existing new energy electric vehicles. Compared with existing industrial battery products, under the same weight, the cruising range of new energy vehicles loaded with the power batteries of this project can reach 600km, which is significantly Improve the cruising range of existing new energy electric vehicles.

  The project was established by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission in January 2017 to promote the research and development and promotion of high-energy power batteries for new energy vehicles and eliminate consumers' range anxiety about new energy electric vehicles. After two years of technical research, the project team successfully developed high-capacity cathode materials, new high-safety, high-pressure-resistant electrolytes, and conquered technologies such as ultra-thick electrode preparation for high-energy-density power batteries and new three-dimensional structure electrodes, and successfully developed 300Wh/kg high specific energy single battery. The developed single battery has a mass specific energy of 310.3Wh/kg, a volume specific energy of 659.3Wh/L, and a battery cycle life of up to 1,000 times. The implementation of this project has integrated and opened up the upstream and downstream industrial chains of high-energy-density batteries, leading the country in the field of new energy vehicle power batteries. It has also applied for 15 invention patents and published 6 SCI papers, achieving fruitful results.

  Mengguli has continued to increase investment in research and development over the years, and its advantageous high-power battery products have been highly recognized by the market. The successful development of 300wh/kg high-specific energy batteries has laid a solid foundation for the company to move into the high-end passenger car market in the future.

  At the same time, in order to solve the current technical bottlenecks in the high-cold application of electric vehicles and combined with the needs of high-cold applications in the 2022 Winter Olympics, Mengguli launched the development of all-climate batteries in 2017. On January 16, 2018, at the China Automotive Research and Development (CATARC) winter test site on the artificial lake in the Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area in Yakeshi, Inner Mongolia, expert leaders from the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and project team members represented by Academician Sun Fengchun and many media Under the joint witness of the experts, Menguli's all-climate power battery system allows electric vehicles to "run freely" in the ice and snow of -30°C. The ambient temperature of this test is almost the temperature forbidden zone of the power battery, and Mengguli successfully challenged this limit. This all-climate battery technology has already achieved a heating speed of 5°C/min, which is more than ten times the current level of the industry. The technology is now becoming mature. At the same time, Mengguli is accelerating the development of batteries and battery systems with higher heating speeds. In order to meet the requirements of different customers, battery products with a temperature rise of 10-15℃/min will be launched by the end of 2019. This is undoubtedly great news for the implementation of the green passenger plan for electric vehicles at the 2022 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Winter Olympics. It is also of extraordinary significance for the comprehensive popularization and promotion of electric vehicles in the future.

  The breakthroughs in two major key technologies have played an important role in promoting the future development of Mengguli and the new energy automobile industry.
