The research results show that the battery using the new electrode can reach a specific capacity of 1220 mAh per gram in 200 cycles, and the capacity fading rate is less than 0.14%. According to laboratory data, due to differences in the shape, surface area and resistance of the cathode, the specific capacity of lithium-sulfur batteries is increased by 48% and the capacity fading rate is reduced by 26%.

  A professor from the research team said: The preparation technology of sulfur cathodes has a great impact on the electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur batteries. Our method is industrially scalable and it is expected that it will have an impact on the design of future practical lithium-sulfur batteries. Tremendous influence.

  Some see lithium-sulfur batteries as one of the best solutions for large-scale energy storage technology.
