Honda and GM strengthen cooperation to jointly develop 3.7V Lithium Polymer Battery

 

Honda and GM have both launched a series of models in the new energy field. As the demand for this market segment continues to increase, the high cost of developing lithium-ion batteries has always been the most important problem that both parties have been troubled by. Chen Haibo, marketing department of Shanghai GM Cadillac, said in an interview with reporters: The development of lithium-ion batteries is a very complex process. In the future, GM will cooperate with other partners to develop batteries. In July 2013, Honda and GM reached a cooperation agreement on the joint development of fuel-powered lithium battery models, and the cooperation between the two parties may be further strengthened to seek breakthroughs in lithium-ion battery technology.
