It is understood that Hitachi officially stated that its subsidiary Hitachi Automotive signed an agreement with INCJ Co., Ltd. and Maxell Holdings Co., Ltd., aiming to support Hitachi Automotive Energy Development Co., Ltd. through joint investment, and is committed to the research and development and production of new CR2450 battery. According to the agreement, INCJ, Maxell and Hitachi Automotive will hold 76.2%, 14.0% and 9.8% of the shares of Hitachi Automotive Energy Development Co., Ltd. respectively. With the gradual increase in global environmental awareness, the market for new energy vehicles such as hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles continues to heat up, and the demand for automotive CR2450 battery as their key equipment has also risen.
