According to foreign media reports, Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies has released its latest automotive-grade high-power, high-power-density fuel cell stack. Horizon hopes to increase the energy density to 1.8W/cm2 again in the foreseeable future. Horizon's new 60-100kW, high energy density, low-cost automotive-grade fuel cell stack will be commercialized by the end of 2019.
HorizonGroup said that when it comes to the commercial appeal of fuel cell systems, battery energy density per square centimeter is much more important than volumetric energy density.
