1. Short term storage:
Lithium batteries should not be used for a short period of time (such as within 6 months). When the battery is shipped from the original manufacturer and in a charged state, the battery should be stored in a dry, non corrosive gas place with a temperature and humidity between -20 ° C to 35 ° C and 65 ± 20%. If the temperature and humidity are higher or lower than this, the metal parts of the battery may rust or the battery may leak.
2. Long term storage:
1. Lithium batteries should be charged with 50% to 70% of their battery capacity when not in use for a long time (such as 6 months or more), and removed from the instrument and stored in a dry and cool environment. The battery should be charged every 3 months to avoid excessive storage time and irreversible capacity loss caused by self discharge.
2. The self discharge of lithium batteries is affected by environmental temperature and humidity. High temperature and humidity can accelerate the self discharge of batteries. It is recommended to store the batteries in a dry environment of 10 ℃ to 25 ℃, 65 ± 20%.
3. Charging and charge control:
3.1. Charging method: ① The original manufacturer using specialized battery equipment supplied by the battery; ② The battery is charged by the customer or user in the instrument equipment.
Usually, lithium batteries have relatively complete protection functions (with a protection board), and there are not many other requirements for charging the battery. However, to prevent safety issues caused by overcharging protection function failure of the protection board, it is not recommended to charge for a long time. After the battery is fully charged, it should be taken out. In addition, when charging, the original or accompanying charger of the battery must be used and operated and used according to the instructions, otherwise the battery may be damaged or even dangerous;
3.2. Identification and detection methods for charged amount: charged amount 50%~70%, usually corresponding to a voltage range of 3.6~3.9V (lithium batteries with different material systems may vary); Customers or users can use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the positive and negative poles, and if installed in an instrument or equipment, the displayed power level on the instrument can be directly read.
