However, the safety requirements and standards for batteries vary depending on the application field or purpose. Military low-temperature lithium batteries are generally charged indoors in the wild, with an ambient temperature of around -20 ℃. Therefore, military low-temperature batteries must meet this basic condition. In special circumstances, when charging outdoors, it is necessary to meet the requirement of charging at around -40 degrees Celsius.

  4. The standard for military low-temperature batteries must reach a certain service life

  Low temperature causes significant damage to battery operation, and the lifespan of the battery has always been a tough issue. The damage to batteries at low temperatures is mainly caused by lithium precipitation. If the production and manufacturing technology does not meet the corresponding requirements, the service life of low-temperature batteries will be greatly reduced due to rapid lithium precipitation. Although low-temperature lithium batteries use targeted material formulas, their service life is still much worse than that of room temperature lithium batteries. Therefore, the service life requirement for military low-temperature lithium batteries is generally one year or more.
