With the strong support of the "Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Operation Safety and Interconnection Technology" project of the "New Energy Vehicle" special project of the National Key R&D Program, the project research team of NARI Technology Co., Ltd. proposed a multi-time scale lithium-ion Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery charging safety hazard warning method, and established an interactive response mechanism between electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and an integrated monitoring platform. The breakthrough of its key technologies will greatly improve the safety and reliability of Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery applications.
The project carried out research on the thermal runaway mechanism of power batteries under overcharging conditions and the performance attenuation mechanism under different stresses, and established a relatively complete Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery safety characteristic parameter characterization system; comprehensively utilized the real-time and historical vehicle operation data, applied data mining technology to analyze the coupling characteristics of Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery characteristic parameters and safety hazards, and established a monitoring method for the safe operation of Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery systems; with the help of the characteristic parameters of the capacity increment curve, a Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery health status diagnosis method based on support vector machine was established, and the identification of Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery degradation patterns was realized; in response to the problem of safety hazards caused by sudden changes in capacity of high-energy-density power batteries, a capacity accelerated decay identification and early warning technology based on quantile regression was developed, combining battery health status assessment, accelerated decay identification and real-time battery operation status to form a multi-time scale Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery safety risk assessment and early warning method, which effectively improved the safety and reliability of Nickel Metal Hydride No. 5 battery use.
