  Due to the high energy density, lithium batteries often dare not be designed into large capacity. The energy density of lead-acid battery is about 40Wh/kg, while that of lithium battery has exceeded 150Wh/kg. The energy concentration is improved, and the requirements for safety are rising.

    

  First of all, a single lithium battery with too high energy will generate heat out of control when encountering an accident. The battery will react rapidly inside. In a short time, excessive energy will not be released anywhere, which is very dangerous. Especially when the development of security technology and control ability is not enough, the capacity of each battery should be restrained.

    

  Secondly, in the event of an accident, the energy wrapped in the lithium battery shell is beyond the reach of firefighters and fire extinguishing agents. They can only isolate the scene in case of an accident and let the accident battery react by itself until the energy is burned out.

    

  Of course, for safety reasons, the current lithium battery has been designed with multiple safety means. Take the cylindrical battery as an example.

    

  Safety valve: when the internal reaction of the battery exceeds the normal range, the temperature rises, and with the generation of side reaction gas, the pressure reaches the design value, the safety valve automatically opens to relieve the pressure. When the safety valve is opened, the battery completely fails.
