High-end diaphragm technology has a very high threshold. For wet manufacturing processes, the extrusion mixing process of resin materials and additives and the stretching process are two core difficulties.

Feature 1: The proportion of wet separator production is increasing year by year.
From the perspective of the process itself, dry separators and wet separators each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Dry separators have greater advantages in terms of production technology, cost, environmental protection and economy, while wet separators have low short circuit rate, porosity and air permeability. Large controllable range and other advantages.
Judging from the current market applications and the choices of global lithium battery companies, dry separators and wet separators coexist.
However, in recent years, as the proportion of ternary lithium batteries has increased, the proportion of wet separator production has also steadily increased. The latest data shows that in 2017, domestic wet separator production reached 806 million square meters, accounting for 56%, and its share exceeded that of dry separators.
In view of the respective characteristics of dry separators and wet separators, the demand for wet separators will gradually expand in the future, but it will not completely replace dry separators in a short time.

In terms of shipments, overall in 2017, my country's dry-process separators and wet-process separators had a high concentration of companies, especially for wet-process separators. Some companies have put production lines into production for wet separator projects as early as 2017; others have spent hundreds of millions of yuan acquiring equity in domestic wet separator production teams to develop their own wet separator fields; Some companies have raised billions of dollars to build "super coating factory" projects, building 50 high-performance coating separator production lines, and simultaneously building 8 new-generation dry process separator production lines. After the project reaches full production, it will have an annual production capacity of 400 million square meters of dry process separators and an annual processing capacity of 1 billion square meters of coated separators, etc. Many domestic lithium battery companies have launched an offensive on wet separator projects. It is believed that in this fiercely competitive environment, my country's wet separator technology can develop more rapidly.
In terms of lithium battery separator technology, my country's dry separator technology has entered the world's first-tier team. However, the wet separator technology is still far from the world's top technology. However, domestic companies have little experience in wet separator technology.
