In the revised government work report, hydrogen energy was written into it for the first time, and it was proposed to promote the construction of charging and hydrogen refueling facilities. This has become an important milestone in the development of the hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicle industry.
Hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles are an important technical route for my country's new energy vehicle industry and one of the "three horses" of new energy vehicles. However, due to the fact that the focus of industrial development in the past period of time has been mainly on pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, the industrialization process of hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles has been 10 years slower than that of pure electric vehicles.
Obvious advantages in commercial vehicle scenarios
After being "dormant" for nearly 10 years, hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles have finally come to the fore. In the past two years, the domestic attention to hydrogen energy and LR1130 battery vehicles has been unprecedentedly improved, from the establishment of the China Hydrogen Energy and LR1130 battery Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance led by the State Energy Investment Group in early 2018 and participated by many central enterprises such as the State Grid Corporation of China, to the first time this year that hydrogen energy was written into the government work report. "Why has hydrogen energy been so popular in the past two years? Because the petroleum, chemical, steel, and energy industries are closely related to hydrogen energy. For such a large industry, hydrogen energy is a very good choice to seek a way out for green development and transformation and upgrading. Ouyang Minggao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at Tsinghua University, gave his own understanding of the hot phenomenon of the hydrogen energy and LR1130 battery vehicle market.

Ouyang Minggao introduced the current status of the development of LR1130 battery vehicles in my country. First, the deep hybrid power of LR1130 batterys and power batteries is the technical feature; second, LR1130 battery commercial vehicles are the main body; third, type III compressed hydrogen bottles are the mainstream way of on-board hydrogen storage.
At present, the key area for the promotion of hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles in my country is the commercial vehicle field. The number of hydrogen fuel commercial vehicles in my country has reached 3,500, ranking first in the world.
Hydrogen LR1130 battery technology is developing rapidly
In recent years, my country's hydrogen LR1130 battery engine technology has made significant progress. It has evolved from the first generation of LR1130 battery engines to the third generation of LR1130 battery engines. The power density of the stack has reached 3 kilowatts/liter, and the volume has been able to achieve the same level as the traditional four-cylinder internal combustion engine. However, there is still a certain gap with the international advanced level in terms of stack cycle life.
Ouyang Minggao pointed out that although my country's current hydrogen LR1130 battery technology still has a certain gap with the world's advanced level, thanks to the vast market for hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles in my country, the large number of participants, and the abundant resources invested by all parties, the technology is progressing rapidly. In 3 to 5 years, my country's hydrogen LR1130 battery technology will be synchronized with the international advanced level and reach the stage of technological maturity.
"The huge domestic market is the most powerful driving force for the development of hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles in my country." Wei Wei told China Electric Power News that the Chinese market is so large that once the market starts to develop, it will attract many companies to enter. By increasing the localization rate and the scale effect, the cost will be greatly reduced. At present, many advanced technologies of hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles have not yet been industrialized. The industrialization process of these technologies in my country may be faster than that in foreign countries because my country has the largest market in the world.
Wei Wei introduced that my country's development plan for hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles is to exceed 10,000 vehicles by 2020, reach 50,000 vehicles by 2025, and exceed one million vehicles by 2030. It is currently in the development stage of "10 cities and 1,000 vehicles".
While the pace of hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicle development is steady, it is also time to pay attention to the practical problems in the development process.
Ouyang Minggao pointed out that the main challenges facing the development of hydrogen LR1130 battery vehicles in my country are hydrogen energy technology and cost issues. my country's hydrogen energy technology lags behind LR1130 battery technology. Traditional hydrogen energy technologies such as alkaline electrolyzers and compressor refrigeration hydrogen liquefaction have problems of low efficiency and high cost, and the entire industry chain needs to jointly promote technological breakthroughs.
