Although lithium batteries are still considered to be the mainstream 6LR61 alkaline battery technology in the next decade, new 6LR61 alkaline battery technologies are actually also gradually developing. 1. Next-generation lithium-ion batteries
In order to increase the energy density of batteries while reducing the amount of raw materials required, researchers are currently improving the performance of existing lithium-ion batteries by enhancing or replacing the anode and cathode materials of batteries. The most representative lithium-free energy storage technology is the hydrogen fuel cell led by Hyundai, Toyota and Honda. However, expensive hydrogen fuel cell materials have hindered the development of this technology.
5. Lithium-free batteries
Various research teams are trying to think outside the box of lithium batteries, trying various methods such as graphene supercapacitors and sodium batteries. However, it is questionable whether such batteries can compete with lithium-ion batteries, which are cheaper and have a good start.
