(1) UpS configuration: Because lead-acid batteries are cheap and can have a large capacity, almost all UpS configurations are fully sealed and maintenance-free lead-acid batteries. UpS is divided into standard machine (5-15 minutes) and long-term machine system (0.5-24 hours) based on the length of battery configuration time. The battery configured in the UpS standard machine is fully discharged in 5-15 minutes, and the discharge current rate is very large (3C-4C). This requires that the battery configured in the UpS standard machine must have strong high-rate and large-current discharge performance. This requires that the battery positive plate must be a multi-element master alloy grid (such as pb-Al-Sb) with better high-current discharge performance. Only batteries with this kind of plate can ensure a long service life in the configuration of the UpS standard machine. life. Ordinary lead-calcium batteries used in standard UpS machines have a shorter lifespan, and are generally guaranteed by the manufacturer for one year. Batteries configured with long-delay UpS have relatively superior conditions for use. They are discharged at low rates and small currents, and generally have a long service life. It is generally no problem to maintain more than 65% of the capacity within 3 years of float charging. Therefore, long-delay UpS has relatively low requirements on the configured storage battery.
(2) EpS configuration: EpS emergency power supplies generally have a battery strong start function, and the discharge voltage is not protected by cutoff. Ordinary lead-calcium batteries can easily run out of power and cannot be recharged. This requires that the battery used with EpS must have strong deep discharge performance. Low antimony lead-antimony lead-acid batteries are cheap and can meet the requirements of the strong start function of EpS batteries, so they are more suitable for EpS power supply configuration. Ordinary pure lead-calcium batteries do not have a long life when used with EpS, and are usually scrapped after a few times in the forced start mode. Although nickel-cadmium batteries or nickel-metal hydride batteries have strong deep discharge performance, they are too expensive to be used.
(3) Equipped with instruments and meters: Batteries used for instruments and meters generally have a small capacity. In addition to emphasizing battery capacity and lifespan, great emphasis is placed on the self-discharge performance of the battery and the fully sealed index of no leakage. Because the instrument is not used most of the time, its built-in battery is in an empty state. A battery with a large self-discharge will run out of power when it is left unused for a long time, and it will run out of power again when it is used, so it is not conducive to such use.
(4) Vehicle use: The main purpose of batteries for vehicles is to start ignition, which requires the battery to have strong high-rate and large-current discharge performance. Currently, there are two types of batteries used in vehicles, namely open-flow and liquid-rich batteries. Type and fully sealed maintenance-free type, the open liquid-filled positive plate is designed with high antimony lead-antimony alloy grid (requires regular maintenance and refilling of fluid), while the fully sealed maintenance-free vehicle battery requires the positive grid to be a multi-element matrix Alloy type, luxury cars or electric vehicles often use this fully sealed type, because the open flooded type (i.e. the common car battery) will produce more acid mist during the charging process to corrode the metal parts of the car body, and often It is also inconvenient to add fluid for maintenance. Ordinary pure lead calcium type fully sealed maintenance-free batteries are not suitable for transportation, otherwise the battery life will be greatly shortened.
(5) Use with electric toys: In addition to meeting the general performance of batteries used in electric toys, the safety of the battery under earthquake-resistant conditions is also emphasized. For lead-acid batteries, it is very emphasized that they will not leak when placed bumpyly, and the internal Air pressure safety factors and shell crack resistance.
(6) For communication equipment: Communication batteries are generally fixed, large-capacity single fully sealed, maintenance-free lead-acid batteries. Industry requirements place great emphasis on the long-term service life of the battery. Large-capacity single lead-acid batteries generally have a service life of 8-15 years.
(7) Civilian inverter configuration: Civilian batteries emphasize economical cost. The acid gas generated during the charging process of general open flooded lead-acid batteries (i.e. car batteries) indoors will affect human physical and mental health. Therefore, the use of this type of battery indoors is not encouraged and should be equipped with a fully sealed and maintenance-free type, unless the open liquid-filled battery is placed in a ventilated and breathable room with smooth air flow or in a corridor, balcony, etc.
