During the production process of lithium batteries, the cells and shells used in the sealing and liquid injection processes have undergone drying treatment, making them extremely sensitive to moisture in the air in the workshop. Once the moisture content in the room is too high and absorbed by the battery, it can cause many problems such as battery swelling and leakage. Therefore, effective environmental control of the sealing and liquid injection processes of lithium batteries is a very important part of the lithium battery production process.
1. Battery sealing. Battery sealing refers to the process of placing dried telecommunications into the battery casing (PP casing), sealing the surrounding areas of the battery casing with a sealing device, installing pole nuts, removing the hot melt overflow of the battery, and then re entering the furnace for drying.
2. Battery liquid injection. Transfer the dried battery to the Glovebox or the automatic liquid injection machine to add electrolyte. After liquid injection, the battery becomes a finished battery, which is converted into workshop production.
It can be seen from the above process that the battery drying parts and the battery fluid injection glove box are the places where the battery contacts with the outside world. The environmental control of this station should be very strict to ensure the normal production of lithium batteries. Since the normal production of lithium batteries requires the moisture content to be lower than 200ppm, the dew point in the cell room is required to be lower than -42 ℃, and the actual dew point in the selected room is lower than -45 ℃.
The dew point requirements for battery drying rooms and automatic liquid injection machines are very high, and ordinary air conditioning systems cannot meet the low dew point environment. Therefore, corresponding dehumidification equipment needs to be added to meet the current usage needs. Considering the impact of personnel on the environmental dew point, there are strict restrictions on the number of people in each dry area.
