At present, batteries generally have shortcomings such as low specific energy and specific power, short cycle life, and performance greatly affected by temperature. Due to the limited space in the vehicle, the accumulation of heat generated during battery operation will cause uneven temperatures everywhere and affect the consistency of the battery cells. This will reduce the battery charge and discharge cycle efficiency, affect the battery's power and energy performance, and in severe cases will lead to thermal runaway, affecting system safety and reliability. In order to maximize the performance and life of the battery pack, the battery needs to be thermally managed to control the battery pack temperature within a reasonable range.
The main functions of battery thermal management include: accurate measurement and monitoring of battery temperature; effective heat dissipation when the battery pack temperature is too high; rapid heating under low temperature conditions; ensuring the uniform distribution of the battery pack temperature field; and the coordination between the battery cooling system and other heat dissipation units. match.
